Byas Branch originates and runs some three thousand feet through the east end of the ranch. Five dams form lakes and ponds that are well stocked with large-mouth bass, perch and catfish. Just below the third dam a the truly unique 50’x 50′ Swimmin’ Hole with a rock bottom is nestled against the limestone bluff.

A spring provides the domestic water for the east end of the ranch. It is pumped to three concrete storage tanks which serve the Creek House, Cliff House, Hunters Lodge, shop, the park, tack room, coral and the meat processing area.

The west end of the ranch is served by a strong Edwards well that feeds a concrete storage tank, six concrete water troughs, working pens and the foreman’s house.
